School is out, the temperature is rising, and vacations are on the books! With all of the fun and relaxation you have planned, you don’t want to spend a single minute worrying about where to park or how to find your car when you return.
At ParkDIA, we’ve recently rolled out several new initiatives to make your parking experience even smoother. Check ‘em out!
New shuttle pick-up and drop-off procedures for covered parking
We’ve added new areas in covered parking for pick-up and drop-off. This will substantially decrease your shuttle wait time and also help you get back to your car faster.
When you’re ready to be picked up, just head over to the nearest zone, indicated by a painted area on the ground within the main drive lane. When you return after your trip, the shuttle will drop you off at the zone closest to your vehicle.
Redesigned vehicle locator slips
We’ve redesigned our vehicle locator slips to make it easier to find your vehicle when you return to the lot. The locator slips now reflect a row and the numbered region within the row where you parked, as well as your vehicle make and model. They’re also now just the size of a business card, so they’ll slip easily into your wallet.
Be sure to save your locator slip or take a photo of it with your phone for reference when returning to the lot. This will help our shuttle drivers locate your vehicle as quickly as possible.
New exit signage to direct you to the exit gates
The last thing you want to do when you return from a trip is drive around in circles in the parking lot! That’s why we’ve installed new exit signage throughout the entire facility to help you find the exit gates so you can get home quickly.
Preparing your car for summer parking
Finally, we have a few recommendations for preparing your car for parking during the Denver summer:
- Remember to roll up your windows. July is monsoon season, and you’d hate to come back to a car full of water.
- Invest in a windshield sun shade. The $50 you’ll spend will save you much more than that in sun damage to your car’s interior.
If you’ll be parking for longer than a few days, follow our tips for how to prepare your car for long-term parking.
We’re dedicated to making your DIA parking experience as smooth as possible. If you have any suggestions, let us know. We hope to see you soon!
