Spring Break Destinations for Families

Some of our most fond memories were made during spring break trips with our families. Whether it was your first trip to Disneyland or you went to visit family in another state, there’s something absolutely wonderful about spending a week away on a trip with the people that you love the most. With spring break quickly approaching it’s time to figure out where you are going to take your family!

The team at ParkDIA has compiled a list of destinations that are absolutely fantastic when traveling with children. Whether you’re going for a couple of days or you’re looking to stay for an entire week, these destinations are places that we have visited ourselves, taken our families or would still love to visit. We hope that you find something that speaks to you!

Oahu, Hawaii

Hawaii is an incredible place to visit. There’s truly nothing quite like Hawaii and in order to recognize that you need to see it for yourself. Oahu provides you with an abundance of activities and excursions that you and your family can participate in while still giving you the relaxed and family-focused vibe of the Hawaii islands.

From the tasty food to the beautiful scenery, Hawaii has so many fantastic components that make for a fantastic vacation. The good news is, it’s also become much more affordable to visit because of how many airlines are now willing to travel there, so you don’t have to worry about overspending for your trip.

Orlando, Florida

How could we not put Orlando on the list? This is, without a doubt, one of the best destinations for families to visit on spring break. The warm weather is only one of the reasons that people love being able to head out to this destination. If you were to ask the children, however, they might answer a little bit different as to what their favorite part is.

Orlando is known for having some of the world-famous amusement parks. Disneyworld and Universal Studios are just two of the parks that you will have the opportunity of visiting while in Orlando. There are plenty of others that you can take advantage of while you’re out there if these two aren’t exactly up your alley.

Atlantis Resort, Bahamas

Resorts are a fantastic way to provide a quality vacation for your family without having to spend a crazy amount of money. Resorts will often ofter all-inclusive services so that you have your room, meals, and activities paid for up front. The beaches surrounding the Atlantis resort are crystal clear and warm, making them a fantastic place to hop in for a swim or give snorkeling a shot.

Aside from being a beautiful location for both children and adults to enjoy, the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort makes it extremely easy for you and your family to enjoy activities that aren’t as easily accessible out here in Colorado. If you have an active family, this is definitely a perk that you’re going to take advantage of.

New York, New York

If your family is looking for a trip in a destination that is not as common or you’re simply not beach people, New York is a location that you should look into. This is one of the places that everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with sharing these memories with your children early on.

The size of the city leaves plenty of exploring for you all to take advantage of. One of the reasons that we think it’s such an incredible place to visit during spring break is because of the weather. At this time of year the cool weather has calmed down a bit, and it’s starting to warm down. That means that it’s the perfect temperature for walking around those bustling streets of New York.

Washington, DC

Another spring break location that isn’t known for its beaches but rather the endless amount of history is Washington, DC. If you have kids that have a passion for an incredible story or the history of our nation, Washington, DC is definitely somewhere that you need to visit. And why not during spring break?

From visiting the white house to taking advantage of the countless museums that this city has to offer, there are so many different activities that you and your family can enjoy. In all honesty, a week is hardly enough time to really enjoy this city, but if these are the types of activities that your family would love to partake in, you absolutely must consider this as a spring break option.
